There are two Headland Rooms, side by side on the second floor, and they are the rooms we would book for ourselves. The window runs almost the width of the wall, low enough that you see the sea from the bed and the whole curve of the headland from the chair beside it.

The rooms are simple on purpose: a good king bed, a reading chair, a desk that is really a place to put a pot of tea, and a lime-plaster shower room with more hot water than you will need after a day on the coast path.

Who it suits

Walkers, readers, and anyone who wants the sea without paying for the suite. In winter the sunsets fall straight into this window, and the room is the warmest in the house.

Good to know

The two rooms share a landing, so they work well for friends travelling together. Tell us when you book and we will keep them both for you.
