The Snug is a single well-made room at the back of the first floor. The sea is there if you lean to the side window, and you will not care much either way: it is here for the walkers who want the coast path all day and a warm dry room at night.
Everything that matters is the same as the suite. The same bed linen, the same breakfast, the same bathhouse, and the same fire in the bar when you come in soaked.
Who it suits
Solo walkers, couples on a budget, and anyone who spends the day outdoors. In winter it is the cheapest way to stay in the house, at £135 a night.
Good to know
It is a small room, 14 square metres, and the double bed is 140 cm. There is space for two bags and two coats, and a heated rack that will have your boots dry by morning.
